To be honest, our garden was a mess and we didn't know where to start. But Sarah was recommended to us and she has helped transform our outdoor space into a place where we actually want to spend time. She designed the raised beds and helped select all the plants for the beds and the borders (the Eryngium big blues in the gallery are from our garden). She was particularly patient as we wanted plants that would be good for butterflies, bees and other insects; but that were preferably natives and easy to maintain. And that's exactly what she's helped us to create. Once Sarah had sourced all the plants and got them all in the ground, we seemed to have different plants in bloom at different times right through the year, so there's always something to look at. And we have a real mix of planting - different heights, colours, foliage... It's a real pleasure to sit out there now on a nice evening. We still get Sarah back every so often (to make sure we keep the garden the way she left it and to stay on top of the necessary jobs) and we would happily recommend her to anyone looking to improve their garden.

I am a novice gardener. Sarah has been a great asset to me and to the garden. She has gently taught (never making me feel bad about my lack of knowledge or a job not done!). She has a lovely presence in the garden and interesting ideas. Sarah has helped me to wake up and feel inspired again by the garden. Her knowledge and hard work are always evident. I can't thank her enough.

Sarah has helped transform our garden – not only is she hard working (in all weathers!), she has fantastic horticultural and plant knowledge. That along with her great ideas & design eye keeps our garden beautiful and is helping to improve it enormously as we plant and develop new areas.

It was great to have you look at our garden. It really did spur us on to get on and make some changes. We have been working hard over the last month getting on with all the jobs on our long list. I can highly recommend Sarah. Her plant knowledge is superb and she has a great eye for layout too. She is very proactive in the garden, suggesting and discussing changes then implementing them. Aside from bringing our borders back to life she has helped create a fantastic child’s area and vegetable patch. She is very hardworking and gets the job done. We are so pleased and feel very lucky to have found her.

I just had to drop you a little note to say thanks for the time you spent telling us how to approach our wilderness of a garden. Just knowing where to start and what to start pulling out was our problem and you gave us some good ideas into the bargain. Sarah has had a varied background in horticulture so she is very helpful in giving good advice about plants and their preferred location. She is hard-working, flexible and keen to tackle a variety of garden jobs. I'm pleased to have her as my gardener.
